Produced by Sara Sniderhan and Curiosity House Books featuring the work of over 15 talented writers and artists with the support of the Kemp Foundation, The Purple Hills Arts & Heritage Society and The Creemore Echo.
There will be an official book launch for The Village And I on Saturday, September 19th. The public reception will take place at Avening Hall from 7pm to 9pm, while the VIP reception for those who pre-order the hard cover edition will begin at 6pm. STEVE MCDONALD'S FANTASTIC CITIES

We're excited to announce that Steve McDonald will be showing work from his internationally bestselling adult colouring book, Fantastic Cities, in our gallery. The show will include large limited edition prints from the book for sale. There will also be a large scale drawing to fill in as part of a community colouring project. Kids and adults of all ages welcome. The show will run from September 5th until October 4th, ending with the arts festival weekend where McDonald will present some new interactive fun pieces for display. Copies of his book are now available in store and Steve will be present at the opening reception to sign his book. Light refreshments will be served.
An Evening With
Elizabeth Hay and Paula McLain
Please join us as we welcome award-winning authors Elizabeth Hay (Late Nights on Air, His Whole Life) and Paula McLain (The Paris Wife, Circling the Sun) to Creemore on Wednesday, September 16th at 7pm at the Avening Community Centre. These two incredible authors will come together for a selected reading from their respective books, followed by a moderated discussion and a Q&A session. Books will be available for purchase and authors will be singing copies of purchased books. Both authors appear courtesy of Penguin Random House of Canada.

In The Writer's Studio
Join us in welcoming Robert Hough, author of the book The Man Who Saved Henry Morgan, to the inaugral author series titled In The Writer's Studio at the Bank Cafe on Thursday, September 10th at 7pm. This free event will include a conversation with Robert, who the Globe regards as "...A gifted, natural storyteller," about his book and the writing process behind it. A special tapas menu will be available. Author and former Globe and Mail editor Peter Novak, author of Humans 3.0, will be joining us for the second event in the series on Thursday, September 24th at 7pm. Peter will be discussing his latest book as well as the writing process behind it.
