THINGS CHANGED AT WHODUNIT?

We moved into a space TWICE the size of our old one!  Never fear, however, it is only a move of one shopfront: to 163 Lilac, right next door.

What has that meant around here?

Well first, it has meant more books!  Not just in terms of our being able to display and share our mystery stock more effectively, but it has meant that we now have space for more wonderful children's books, and small collections of non-mystery titles (both new and used).

It has also meant that we have more space for events, more flexibility in hosting them, and more services to be able to offer to those who visit!

Is this the end to the changes?

NO!  We have already moved some things around from when we arrived in August to make things a little bit more accessible, and we will continue to tinker with how we layout the shop to best serve you, the customer.  We are also asking for customer feedback on where things are, and what we don't have that you would like to see.

Will you be selling coffee?

NO!  There are many cafes, restaurants, and the like around us that already make better coffee than we are capable of.  Nor are Michael's old barista skills going to be put to the test in the near future.  If you wish to have coffee, we encourage you to bring your own.

What about dogs?
YES! We have treats for your canine companions, as well as water for them, should they need it.  We ask that you respect other customers however, and if they would prefer not to be cuddled/slobbered upon by your good boy/girl, you can either wait for them to be done, or come back again.

More questions?  Visiting the store is probably best.  But, if you cannot,  stay tuned with us here, and follow along with us on Facebook (@whodunitcanada), Twitter, (@whodunitwpg), or Instagram (@whodunitbookstore) for more information!

Open for business since 1994, WHODUNIT was bought in 2007 by loyal customers Jack and Wendy Bumsted. WHODUNIT is Winnipeg's specialty mystery bookstore, offering a full range of crime fiction, with Scandanavian, British and Canadian authors prominently featured.  Assisted by their youngest children, Sian and Michael, the Bumsteds are here to help you feed your crime fiction fix.

We are open seven days a week, 1000-1700 Monday through Saturday, and 1200-1700 Sundays.

The bookstore hosts a Mystery Reading Club on the final Tuesday of each month, and has regular events, including readings and signings by mystery authors.  The most up to date information about those, as well as access to our newsletter archive and other delights can be found at: http://www.whodunitbookstore.com/

WHODUNIT carries both new and used books, and has an in store inventory of over 15,000 books.  We will also special-order books in any genre.  Stock is always changing, so be sure to check in regularly, particularly for used titles.  While the majority of our stock is shown in the online store, some older titles do not translate over, so feel free to get in touch with the Bumsteds at mystery@whodunitcanada.com if you do not see what you are looking for.  Online orders as well as ship to out of town customers and deliver to those unable to reach the bookstore themselves.
