Are you delivering?
Yes, we are doing free local delivery for addresses in our delivery boundaries.
What are your delivery boundaries?
Our delivery boundaries are roughly the lakeshore to the south, Lansdowne Ave to the east, St Clair Ave/Westin Rd/Eglinton to the north, and the East Mall to the west. To confirm free local delivery, enter your postal code at checkout or contact us with your address.
Are you doing curbside pickup?
Yes, you can select curbside pickup when you are checking out. Our store will have staff available to facilitate curbside pickup during the pickup windows on our lockdown schedule. If you need to arrange a pickup at an alternate time, please contact us after placing your order.
Do you ship orders outside of your free delivery boundaries?
Yes, we can ship your order to any where in Canada! Shipping rates do apply, and we have a flat rate of $8 for shipping in southern Ontario. Shipping may fluctuate for locations outside of southern Ontario. Contact us if you'd like to confirm shipping rates.
I need help picking out the right items - can you assist me?
Yes, we are more than happy to help you pick the right book or gift. Call us at 416-901-0832 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to chat with one of our booksellers.
The book I'm looking for doesn't show up when I search for it - why?
If the book you are looking for doesn't come up when you search for it, it likely means that we don't have it in stock or on order currently.
You don't have the book I'm looking for - can you order it for me?
We are only doing special orders by request so please reach out to us at email@example.com with information about the book you are looking for and we will let you know if it is available to order, how much it costs, and how long it will take to get in. Please note that we are not able to order in all titles and may refuse to order a book in at our discretion.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes, we sell gift cards! Click the 'Gift Card' link in our menu to order. Gift cards can be purchased in increments of $5. You have the option of shipping out a physical gift card or requesting that we send an electronic gift card by email. Please indicate which option you'd prefer in the order notes.
I am paying with a credit card - when will I be charged?
Your card is not charged right away when you submit your order; we only charge your credit card when the items are ready for delivery/pickup. We will send an additional receipt by email when the credit card has been processed.
What credit cards do you accept?
We currently accept Visa and Mastercard. Unfortunately, we do not accept American Express cards at this time.
Can I pay with an international credit card?
Yes, we can process international credit cards. Please be aware that we will charge you in CAD regardless of where your card is from.
How do I use a gift card to pay online?
If your gift card will cover the full amount owing on the order, select 'Etransfer/Gift Card' as your payment method and include the gift card number(s) in the order notes. Your gift card number can be found on the back of the card and always begins with 'GC'.
If your gift card will only cover a portion of the full amount owing on the order, select credit card as your payment method and put the gift card number(s) in the order notes. We will always apply the gift card number first before charging your credit card for the remainder.
Can I pay by etransfer?
Yes, you can pay by etransfer by sending the total amount quoted on your order confirmation to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that we will not deliver or release orders for pickup until the etransfer payment has been received so we recommend sending payment for an order as soon as possible.
Holiday Gift Information
Do you gift wrap?
Yes, we gift wrap! If you would like us to gift wrap any or all of the items on your order, simply add 'gift wrap' in the order notes and tell us what paper you'd like (christmas, hanukkah, or birthday). If you would like items on your order wrapped separately and addressed to different people on the tag, simply let us know what items are going to which people and we will package them up for you.
The item I'm buying is a gift - can it be exchanged if they have it already?
Yes, items can be exchanged if they are duplicates - just ask for a gift receipt in the order notes and we will include a printed gift receipt with the item.
When is the return date limit for items purchased now until Christmas?
Returns for a full refund can be made within 14 days of purchase. Please contact us for return instructions during lockdown.
Exchanges for any items purchased now until the holidays can be made until Jan 10, 2021. A gift receipt or order receipt must be present for an exchange to be processed. Please contact us for instructions if the exchange is being made during lockdown.
