About Lacy: born bookseller, but always a little surprised that she gets to own a bookstore. A good pen can turn a whole day around. Out-of-practice writer, medium-fast reader. David Mitchell enthusiast, unapologetic feminist, and mother to a five year-old storyteller named Ramona.
About Jacob: If books were jail, Jacob would be a lifer - they've been <doing time> selling books for 16 years. They're most likely to be swallowed up by the poetry section, the social justice and history sections, and anywhere they can scrounge up literary fiction or experimental prose. Their doppleganger is a poet and occasional performer in the Midcoast, but don't be confused. Many think that the only thing keeping them alive is an infinite series of cups of tea.
About Hillary: word nerd, language lover and book enthusiast who adores wide margins. When not at the shop, she's frolicking around the Fox Islands engaging in press banditry and other shenanigans.
Jillian worked with us in 2016, and now she's back for a few hours a week! If you want to discuss mythologies, fairy tales, sacred texts, historical fiction, literary criticism, magical realism, or Elizabeth Bishop, she is your girl. woman? gal Friday? superfine lady-friend? human.
Claire started with us as an intern in 2018, and now she is officially on staff!
